Because its ALMOST symmetrical, but not quite, gives this pic a particular character. The solid lines from all the wood make it easy for the eye to follow all the way around the photo. I think that more of a full front view would have helped, however, I like it very much a little off to the side to help emphasize the ALMOST symmetrical factor to it. I also like how its in black/white, it allows you to focus more on the lines rather than a color. Over all, I like it very much.
